New volunteers are always welcome at Our Sister’s Place and in the Thrift Store.
We value the talents of our volunteers and match their skills to our needs.
Below are just a few examples of volunteer opportunities at Our Sister’s Place. If you are interested in these jobs or any others, contact Hazel Raigue at 561-744-6997. Volunteers enjoy 20% off purchases in Our Sister’s Place Thrift Store.
In the Store:
Cashier – If you enjoy interacting with customers and completing transactions, this is the volunteer job for you.
Customer Service – When our customers have questions about our products and prices, this volunteer is ready to help.
Merchandise Assistant – We accept donations five days a week and it takes energetic people to keep everything moving. Volunteers in this position sort and price donated items to get them ready for the sales floor.
Handyman/woman – Some of our donations need a little TLC before we can put them out for sale. If you can repair a zipper, sew on a button or make minor repairs to furniture and housewares, we can use your talents.
Other: Sorting items, hanging clothes, organizing books, answering the phone, general assistance.
Behind the Scenes:
Public relations, Computer and Office Work, Grant Writing, Fundraising
WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR ALL OUR WONDERFUL, DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS
