Transitional Housing for Survivors of Domestic Violence

Our Sister's Place is so proud and pleased to announce that we are opening a new transitional housing facility in a confidential location in Palm Beach County.  We will be able to shelter 7 women and children who are survivors of domestic violence in a safe and nurturing home that will give them opportunities to heal both physically and emotionally as they rebuild their lives and futures.  Along with our other facility in Okeechobee County, we have expanded our Advocacy and Outreach Program to bring hope and empowerment to those who have suffered at the hands of someone they thought loved them.

Residents can stay from 6-9 months and will continue to have counseling, education, case management, employment assistance, pro-bono legal services, food, clothing and other opportunities for a future without violence.  Male victims continue to be sheltered through our Hotel/Motel Program and receive all the services we offer.

None of this would be possible without the support and vision  of our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, funders and donors who help Our Sister's Place to become a beacon of hope for so many survivors of domestic violence.  It is amazing what vision, hard work and support can do for our community.  Together, we are unstoppable in our mission to provide services and programs but most of all to save lives!

I thank you all so very much and appreciate everything you have done for Our Sister's Place and our clients.  You are all amazing!

As always, if you know of someone who can benefit from our services, please have them call our 24/7 crisis line at 561-348-4018.
